The Astrolites started September 2002 as Tom Wilson & Astrolites. In the beginning the members were the guitar/singer Örjan Jönsson and the bassplayer Torbjörn Viström and different drummers. Later on Tom Wilson left the band and there was only the Astrolites. In 2005 Marku Kallunki took care of the hammering on the skins and a few months later the Bassplayer Uno Eiving joined them. After that, their current style took form, wich contains influences from old be-bop, swing, rockabilly, surf and some punk. The band has with their unique sound and wild live peformance created their own style they call: HI SPEED ROCKABILLY
